Watching bubbles blow all over the place is one of the joys of being a kid. You can chase those bubbles for what seems like forever.
Bubbles are one of the most fascinating things that kids see. From a very young age, kids will really like watching bubbles float and blow around. They will follow bubbles with their eyes quite intently, wondering what the floating orb could be. Doing bubbles with kids is a simple way to entertain kids for several minutes.
Blowing bubbles
Of course, the basic way to make bubbles is to blow them. This is the way that we always made bubbles when we were kids. Pulling out a bubble wand from the bottle and blowing to try to make bubbles is a fun activity. Younger kids may spit all over the bubbles, but over time they’ll start to get the hang of it and be able to blow bubbles.
As children grow, they’ll like trying to blow even bigger bubbles through a wand. Getting bubbles the size of grapefruits is a challenge they’ll readily take on. With a larger wand, they’ll be able to get up to even larger sizes as well. As an adult, you may also find yourself fascinated by trying to blow the biggest bubble you really can.
Bubble machines
These days, bubble machines seem to be all the rage with kids and families. Everyone I know with kids has a bubble machine. We’ve gone through three bubble machines ourselves as our kids aren’t very careful with them. However, a couple of years ago we got an awesome bubble maker that I’m hoping lasts for several more years. It blows a ton of bubbles, and keeps the kids happy.
Bubble machines are a lot of fun because the kids can chase bubbles in all sorts of directions. They’ll run away from the bubbles, chase after the bubbles, and run through them. The number of games that kids will make up is quite interesting to watch - for us, the bubbles were a virus that my son had to avoid.
As an adult, I actually like to sit and watch the bubbles that the machine makes as well. There’s something magical with hundreds of bubbles floating around (our new machine does that quite well). You can just get lost in the bubbles that are floating all over the place.
Bubble wand
If you want to make huge bubbles, then you’re going to need a real bubble wand. These aren’t great options for a toddler as they won’t be able to use it. However, for older children, and for yourself, a bubble wand is a fascinating and frustrating tool.
Bubble wands allow you to make absolutely huge bubbles - things of bubbles that are as large as a boulder and bigger. Of course, it takes a lot of practice, and some good bubble solution in order to make bubbles of that size. With a bit of practice though, you can be the hit as the kids try to pop the floating masterpiece.
Bubbles
If you’re going to be doing a lot of bubbles, make sure you get a good bubble solution. There are several options out there, but I highly recommend you get a concentrate solution as they’re going to last far longer. They’re simple to mix up, and work just as well as pre-mixed bubbles.
If you have a bubble machine, lots of kids, or kids that are just addicted to doing bubbles, having plenty of bubbles on hand is a must. Of course, you can always make bubbles from dish soap, but I’ve found that it’s just not quite as good as the stuff that’s made to make bubbles.
Conclusion
Get some bubbles, and get outside with your kids. Blowing bubbles can be fun for kids of all ages, and for adults alike.
