Keep your kids entertained in the bathtub by adding some bubbles to the mix.
Some kids love the bath, while others really don’t like it at all. As kids grow older, they will grow out of wanting to take a bath a lot of the time (although not always). You may be glad to have your kids out of the bathtub as that means that you don’t have to watch them nearly as much.
On the other hand, if you’re looking for more ways to keep your kids in the bathtub for longer periods of time, then you’ll want to find something to keep them entertained. Toys will often help, and letting them play with toys in the water is a great way to help keep them entertained. However, at some point, they will likely get tired of the toys that they have.
One of the best ways to upgrade a bath, and make it feel like a really fun time is by adding some bubbles to the mix. Bubble baths are a magical time for kids for some reason. It’s likely the fact that they have mounds of the little white bubbles that poke up out of the water that make it feel like they’re in a totally different place than usual.
Beyond that, bubbles also make for a fun activity for them to play with while in the bathtub. Bubbles can be taken and put on a child’s face to pretend that they’re someone else (Santa Claus?). Bubbles can also be rubbed on to the wall to make letters or other shapes. Bubbles are also fun to just try to stack as high as you can.
Perhaps the hardest part about bubble baths is making sure that you actually have bubbles on hand. Parents very often will find themselves without a way to make bubbles. It seems that those bottles with bubble mix seem to run out after about four baths for the kids - they just don’t last very long. We’ll go for super long stretches without bubbles simply because we don’t have any mix to use.
Recently, we discovered these bubble packets that you just drop into the water, and they make the bubbles. We quickly grabbed a large packs of them as our kids really like bubbles in their bath, and we thought they would be a lot of fun for the kids. The reviews were really great so we figured that they would do the job, and we were not disappointed. These little packets seem to make a decent amount of bubbles, and you don’t have to guess how much you should add.
The other thing that we really like about these is that there are no extra or harmful chemicals in them. You’re getting a very basic bubble mix that doesn’t add anything extra - probably one of the benefits of having a powder based solution.
Bubbles in the bath are a simple way to make a bath a fun time for your kids without a lot of extra effort. Make sure you have some bubbles on hand, and let your kids have a good time.
